A Clase, the UK's leading distributor
of land-mobile, static and marine
electronics, is pleased to announce
a significantly more cost-effective
static and in-motion entertainment
solution for the recreational vehicle
(RV) and motorcoach markets. From
the 6th May, the outstanding TracVision
R4 and R5, the latest static and in-motion
satellite TV antenna systems from
KVH, can be used in conjunction with
the brand new digital satellite TV
service, Freesat to deliver subscription
free, popular entertainment whilst
on the road.
Launched this May, Freesat is a joint
BBC and ITV satellite TV service offering
free digital TV, radio, interactive
TV and HD TV programmes to approximately
98% of the UK population at the cost
of a one-off payment for a digital
box, satellite dish and installation.
By using a TracVision R4 or R5 TV
antenna with a Freesat digital box
RV owners can benefit from over 80
channels of great entertainment including
films, music, news, lifestyle, travel
and children's programmes without
any monthly subscriptions or complicated
packages to choose from. Providing
owners have HD TV sets they can enjoy
superb resolution, unmatched picture
quality and incredible sound.
The TracVision R5, which hit the UK
market in February, is the new fully
automatic in-motion satellite TV antenna
system with integrated DVB technology.
The system measures and compensates
for the motion of the vehicle thanks
to an active, gyro-stabilised design
providing dynamic, fully automatic
satellite tracking that enables the
antenna to acquire and maintain a
lock on the satellite, allowing users
to enjoy seamless reception on the
move. Housed in a low profile, impact
resistant dome, which also protects
the antenna against the weather, the
maintenance free TracVision R5 offers
reliable and easy access DVB satellite
transmission signals over 51 dBW EIRP.
