C A CLASE INTRODUCES SAAB TRANSPONDER TECH R4 CLASS A TRANSPONDER

C A Clase, the UK's leading distributor of marine electronics, is presenting the SAAB Transponder Tech R4 Class A Transponder at Seawork International for the first time.
   
The IMO-compliant R4 Class A Transponder is designed to provide commercial vessels with an easy-to-use AIS tracking system, for improved situation awareness and safety at sea. The system's user friendly multi-purpose display unit, outstanding interfacing capability and data validation, ensure safe operation when connected to navigation sensors, radar and electronic chart systems.

Used in a smaller vessel, the simplicity and versatility of the system's interface allows users to operate the system through its multipurpose display. Integrated into the bridge, the AIS system feeds reliable data to virtually any electronic chart and/or radar, therefore improving the quality of the information displayed.

The Class A R4 Transponder can also be used to send predefined safety related text messages (SRM) to other vessels and VTS stations in a distress situation. The system's unprecedented VHF radio coverage provides users with detailed information about the course ahead.

- Integrates with external differential GPS receiver, gyro compass, speed log, chart systems and radars. 
- Large number of input and output ports to support highly complex and integrated bridge systems. 
- Supports AIS Class B 'carrier sense' messages.

The R4 Class A Transponder from SAAB Transponder Tech is priced at £4,275.76 excluding VAT (UK RRP). Price includes the J4 Junction Box.
 
Other SAAB Transponder Tech systems available from C A Clase include a broad range of secure AIS systems for military and government applications as well as the R4 Dual AIS/DGPS system. Integrating AIS and DGPS into a single display screen, the R4 Dual AIS/DGPS is ideally suited for vessels with limited bridge space.
